SAP Analytics Cloud is SAP's strategic solution for reporting, planning and predictive analytics and is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution based on the SAP Cloud Platform, which can be accessed in the web browser as well as mobile. The data is transferred to the SAC via a live connection, import connection or the upload function. All this is made available to you in a modern and user-friendly interface.
With the option of a live connection, the SAP Analytics Cloud provides real-time data and you no longer have to look at outdated reports. The data storage does not take place in the cloud and therefore remains in your hands. Only the metadata is consumed, as you can see in the image below:

With its intuitive and modern interface, SAC offers you a solution to provide simple reports (so-called "stories") to your departments or to establish a self-service. More complex reports can be implemented by developers using the integrated development environment (Analytics Designer) via JavaScript coding.
Visualise your data with the help of the integrated chart types, tables, maps or even your own R visualisations. The authorisation and role concept means that the stories are only visible to the desired target group.
SAP delivers complete dashboards for different industries and business areas in the SAC with the Business Content, which can be used and adapted directly.
