Migration to SAP DRC Cloud Edition for MBDA Deutschland GmbH

 

MBDA is a leading global manufacturer of missile and air defence systems. The company develops, produces and maintains complex weapon systems for the air force, army and navy in order to strengthen the defence capabilities of its international customers.

INITIAL SITUATION

The aim of the project was to transition from the Peppol Cloud to the SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) Cloud Edition to ensure seamless invoice management across various MBDA Germany entities.


PROBLEM DEFINITION

MBDA Germany faced the challenge of updating their existing SAP DRC system for XRechnung, which was originally deployed on the Neo environment via the Peppol Cloud App.

This environment was due to be phased out by SAP by 2025, necessitating a migration to DRC Cloud Edition in the Cloud Foundry environment to ensure continued compliance and functionality.

SOLUTION APPROACH & ROLE OF FINK IT

Fink IT provided support as an implementation partner with its expertise in project management and technical realisation.

Initial implementation: Transition of existing systems to DRC Cloud Edition with minimal disruption.

Further development and rollout: After a successful initial implementation, continuous improvements were planned to utilise the possibilities of the Cloud Foundry environment.

Ongoing updates and customisations: SAP and Fink IT ensure the continuous development of the system to meet the future requirements of MBDA German.
